I was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. At the young age of 10, I lost my grandmother and grandfather. I was extremely moved by the funeral home that served my family during those difficult moments. After high school, I attended Amarillo Community College, studying Business Administration. Soon after, I enrolled in the Mortuary Science Program at Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. In 1999, I graduated with my associate’s degree in applied mortuary science. I am a member of the Pi Sigma Eta National Morticians Honors Fraternity.
After graduating, I worked at Rector Funeral home in Amarillo for a few years before moving to Austin, Texas to work at Cook-Walden Funeral Homes. My next adventure took me to Alaska for 16 years where I worked for Legacy Funeral Homes and The Alaska State Medical Examiner’s Office. When I joined the Callaway-Jones family team, it was as a licensed embalmer, funeral director, and cremationist. I’ve been pleased to serve the families in our locations across the Brazos Valley.
In Alaska, we were members of the VFW, American Legion, and the Lions Club. Time permitting, my wife, Melissa, and I are looking forward to spending time helping our community. Our children are Trinity (who lives in Arizona), Troy (who lives in Nevada) and Jayli (who lives in Alaska).
Aside from being blessed with the opportunity to help families through a challenging time, I love traveling, fishing, hiking, and camping. Locally, it’s a pleasure to listen to live music, watch sports, and spend time with my family, friends, and dogs. It is truly an honor to serve the surrounding communities of Bryan-College Station and I look forward to meeting you when you visit our locations. Please call me anytime I can be of service.
Brady Helseth was born and raised in Minot, North Dakota, has been serving in the funeral profession since 2001. He has spent the majority of his adult life in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes. Although his move to Bryan College Station was recent, he and his wife like to tell people that even though we weren’t born in Texas, we got here just as fast as we could!
Brady was first exposed to the field of Funeral Service through his father-in-law, a long-standing Funeral Director/Owner in Pine City, Minnesota. It was there that Brady decided that a career in funeral service would be something he would like to pursue as well. Helping people in their greatest time of need is one of Brady’s greatest passions.
Outside of funeral service, Brady wears other hats and goes by names like husband, dad, son, brother, funcle (fun uncle), and friend. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Sara, and their two daughters- Isabelle (Architecture student at NDSU) and Stella (student at CSHS). Brady also enjoys a good cup of coffee, golfing, reading, biking and walking their four-legged friend Lila (Springer Spaniel). Brady and his family are excited to have found Grace Bible Church – Anderson campus, and are enjoying getting to know the congregation there.
