Shirley Skidmore

Shirley Skidmore, 83, of College Station, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1pm Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center in Bryan, with Certified Life Celebrant, Dawn Lee Wakefield, officiating. A reception with light refreshments will follow in the Pecan Room at Callaway-Jones.
Shirley was born February 5, 1935, in Elkhart, Texas, to Tony and Etha Walston.
Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, E.T. “Zeke” Skidmore; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Michael Lee, Gena and C.J. Viator; sisters and brothers-in-law, Greta and Steve Fleming, Madelyn and A.L. Mitchell, Toni Gayle and Norris Crawford; grandchildren, Zachary James Viator, Payton Noel Viator, Shane Thomas Lee and wife Sara, Tara Brooke Lee; great grandchild, Luna Michelle Lee; and her beloved Yorkie-poo, Dancer.

  3. We are saddened at her passing but know she has passed through the gates of heaven. She was a lovely lady and so nice to me as one of her daughters friends. We are praying for peace for the family.

  5. I was heartbroken when I got your message. We know she is in the best place surrounded by all those she has loved. She was a beautiful and lovely lady, Mother, Grandmother and Wife and will always be cherished. I pray for everyone who has lost her presence, but she will forever remain in our hearts.

We had our laughs, and we have had our sadness, but through it all, we put a smile on our face and keep it going, I passed by your room and seen you werent there anymore, I knew what had happened, and i prayed for you and your family. I will come by to pay my respects to you, may God Bless you, which he already has, i will see you one day, enjoy your mansion shirley, we will ALL see you one day.
