** Revised – UPDATE** **UPDATE** A Celebration of Life gathering is planned for Saturday, September 26, 2:30 at Café Eccell, 4401 S. Texas Ave., Bryan, 77802.
Rina (Renee) P. Dudley, 80, of Bryan, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday morning, June 14, 2105. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. Her wishes were to live out her last months and days of her life in her own home. Throughout her life, Rina put others first and never failed to show her never-ending generosity.
Rina came to the United States from Tel Aviv, Israel at the age of 12. She spent her early years in New York City where she graduated from high school and then went on to develop her independent spirit and traveled around the world. Her adventures landed her in Texas in the 1950s where she made many friends and developed life long relationships.
It was in Texas where she met James “Dud” Dudley. Although she continued her travels, she eventually made Texas her home when she married James “Dud” Dudley in 1964. After staying home with her daughters when they were young, Renee went on to become a successful local businesswoman, owning and operating Milady Hair Salon for many years.
Renee is preceded in death by her husband James Dudley in 1989. She is survived by her two daughters, Juliette Sang and her husband Anthony Sang of Pearland, Texas; Janice M Dudley of Bryan and two grandsons, James Adam Dudley and Parker Anthony Dudley, both of Bryan.
The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice, specifically, Micki Gutierrez, RN, Tonya Scott, RN and Ann Nichols, CNA. Renee had been a part of my life since I was a small child. She bowled for many years with my mother and was also the family stylist. Renee always wore a beautiful smile and gave really great hugs. My heart hurts to know I will no longer bump into her shopping and then laughing because we spent to much time talking. Special lady you will be missed.
Renee was such a lovely lady and neighbor for a long time. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Sorry to learn about your mother; she must have been quite a character,
