Teresa was born on February 28, 1929, in Bryan, to her parents Henry and Stephanie Milberger Melasky. Teresa was one of nine children born to her parents; family life was very important to her throughout her life. She met her husband Joe Luke Palermo, were married in February 1946 and shared forty-six years of marriage before his passing in 2010. Joe Palermo adored Teresa where she was a stay home mom, creating their house into a loving home. Teresa and Joe would welcome three daughters to their family Mary, Suzanne, and Joan known as Joni. Teresa will be best remembered for all the wonderful cooking and baking she did for her family and friends. Her favorite time of year was the Fall Season, the changing colors and temperatures with the excitement of Thanksgiving and Christmas soon approaching. She loved when her family would come together for the holidays. If you truly knew Teresa she enjoyed the first of the month, and you knew why. Teresa’s life is best summarized in Psalm 31 as a humbled wife, quiet, and faithful. She instilled in us a faith that is lived out through her children and their families. Teresa was Catholic and a member of St. Joseph Church.
