Nancy Howard

nancy howard

April 11, 1931 ~ February 7, 2022

Born in: La Crosse, Wisconsin
Resided in: Bryan, Texas

Nancy favored her mother (Hortense) in always being a lady, in all respects. She favored her father (Dudley) with her constant good humor, wise counsel, and loyalty to her family. Her ties to Kappa Kappa Gamma and P.E.O. were strong and lifelong.

Demanding little for herself, she was always very charitable, favoring mainly those of local need, such as Aggieland Humane Society and Twin City Mission. Of special delight to her was reading the publications from The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee.

Although she was an Iowa girl, including graduating from Iowa State University, her greatest love was to Black River Falls, WI, with her beloved relatives, from earliest childhood to her last days. They were lifelong golden times and memories.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John; daughter Mary Alice of Boston, MA; son Jimmy of El Dorado, AR and his wife, Patty, grandchildren Raley and Mason, and much enjoyed great grandson Jaxson.

So now we say, “Adieu Mom, good show!”

  2. To the Howard Family,
I am saddened to hear about the passing of Nancy . My years at epsilon rho, 1976 through 1979, were totally guided by Nancy’s zeal and enthusiasm for our beloved Kappa Kappa Gamma . I have so many memories of her and can’t imagine a get together with the Kappas without Nancy present . She will live in my heart and the hearts of everyone touched by her spirit, friendship, and wisdom.
