Born in:
Austin, Texas
Resided in:
Millican, Texas
Lance Patrick Browne, 52, of Millican, went to be with his Lord on April 1, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 11, at Central Church, 1991 FM 158 Road in College Station with Pastor Jonathan Poe officiating.
Lance was born on November 22, 1970, to Craig and Becky Browne in San Marcos, TX. He graduated from Consolidated High School in College Station and later from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos with a degree in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing. Lance started his professional career working as a page in the Texas State Capital but would eventually move back to College Station to start a career as a mortgage lender. Several years later, he would follow in his father’s footsteps and start a real estate career with Caldwell Homes Real Estate. Lance would eventually be associated with several real estate firms over the next twenty years. During the last years of his life, Lance was an audio video and home automation salesman for DefTech AV alongside his wife, Stefanie.
Lance’s greatest passion in life was his family. He married the love of his life, Stefanie on August 19, 2000. They would go on to have two beautiful children, Carson (17) and Lorelai (15). It was due to his children that Lance found his faith in God. Lance was an incredibly devoted father in supporting his children in their shooting sports career, their love to laugh and their relationship with God. Lance was always good for a story and never met a stranger; there was no shortage of conversation when Lance was involved. Lance enjoyed hunting with his children, barbecuing, watching college football and talking with friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Craig Browne.
Lance leaves behind his wife, Stefanie Browne and his children, Carson and Lorelai Browne of Millican; mother and stepfather, Becky and David Schuler of College Station; sister, Jinny Browne of Lexington. He also leaves behind many cousins, friends, and neighbors. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you donate to a college fund that has been set up for Carson and Lorelai at Brenham National Bank.

Thank you for both for taking in a bunch of college kids in 2005. Every “family” memory involves Lance (aka Beetle)
Prayers for your hearts.
Lance was a bright light in our family ! Even though we did not see him often enough, when we did get together it was always sweet! I loved his transparency and openness and especially his love for his family! I remember his enthusiasm with Lorelei’s talent in art! He was so excited to share stories about his children. He will be greatly missed!!
Stefanie, Carson & Lorelai- we are so deeply sorry for your loss.
When I think of Lance, I think of joy and laughter. I will miss all the spontaneous conversations we’d have around BCS- he would always make me laugh with his stories and humor. In every one of those interactions, his love and pride in his family was so apparent. It is my hope that you treasure that love in your hearts until you see him again.
We keep you in our prayers every day. May the Lord surround you with his comfort now and on the road ahead.
Our deepest condolences to my dear friends family.
Lance was a great guy. Glad I knew him. Prayers for his family.
