Gregory Alan Cupit, 53 of College Station, Texas was called home to be with his Lord & Savior on March 4, 2021. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on May 30, 1967 to Gerald (Jerry) Warren Cupit, Sr and Florence June Spry Cupit. He attended schools in Denham Springs, LA, Houston, TX, Montgomery, TX and graduated from Conroe High School in 1986. He turned 16 while touring Europe playing his tuba. He attended Blinn College in Brenham on a music scholarship where he met his wife, Rhonda Kettrick Cupit. Although Greg accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior as a young man he was baptized May 31, 1992 by Pastor Paul Sevar of Independence Baptist Church at Rocky Creek. Greg and Rhonda were married June 6, 1992 at Independence Baptist Church in Independence, Texas. They were blessed with five children. Greg made a career in the trucking industry traveling all across the United States. When he was not working, he enjoyed spending his time with friends and family while hunting and fishing.

He is survived by: wife, Rhonda Cupit, children: Katie Jo Mullins (Billy), Austin Thomas Kettrick Cupit, Kellianne Savannah Cupit, Cheyenne Elizabeth Cupit, Justin Gregory Cupit, and a special little girl that shared his home for a while and his heart forever, Nevaeh Pollard, granddaughter: Ashlynn Ember Nichole Mullins, brothers: Gerald “Jerry” Cupit, Jr (Trini), Lawrence “Larry” Arthur Cupit (Deanna), brother-in-law: Mitchell Kettrick (Adriana), sister-in-law: Donna Gandy, mother-in-law: Judy Kettrick, nieces and nephews: Cody Cupit (Amy), Sean Cupit (Kristin), Jeremy Cupit, Emily Cupit, Haley Cupit, Tyler Cupit, Chelsea Thorton (Danny), Shelby Kettrick, Brandy Scholze (Jair), Megan Gandy, great nieces and great nephews: Jace Cupit, Kylie Cupit, Bryce Cupit, Jayden Scholze, Aunts & Uncles: Sally & Jerry Bumpus, Nancy & Ronald Scott, Bruce & Nancy Cupit, Tony & Lynda Cupit, Dottie & Murry Daniels, Gwen Chapman, cousins: Jeff Bumpus (Cheryl), Tracey Rheams (Jason), Jayson Scott (Catherine), Kelly Lomax (David), Saxon Hughes (Mikel), Zachary Rheams (Rio), Savannah Rheams, and numerous other cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents: Arthur B.Cupit, Sr and Eva Baham Cupit, Lawrence Spry, Thomas and Katie McLemore, and father-in-law, Fred Kettrick.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Callaway-Jones. Memorial Services will be held at Callaway-Jones in Bryan, TX on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 3 pm with visitation prior at 2pm. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Overlook Park Pavilion at Lake Somerville starting at noon.

    Joan and I are so sorry for your loss. Greg really loved life and loved people. I remember when we went to Promise Keepers in San Antonio with the Vineyard Church of Brenham.   6. Greg always had a smile on his face, and he had a gentle soul. I only knew him a short time at Blinn, but I could tell he loved Rhonda dearly. He made me laugh so much… My heart breaks for your loss, Larry & Rhonda & for all of his family & friends. A very sad time. He will always be with you.

  10. Greg was a close friend in high school and was a special student of my Mom’s, Mrs. Phyllis Patin. She passed in June, so I know she was waiting to greet him in heaven. I know he was a special man and will truly be missed.

  11. Greg was a business aquaintance that always had a story that would put a smile on your face. I enjoyed our gatherings at Sanderson Farms parking lots or other grain elevators around Texas. I don’t think he ever met a stranger. The trucking industry has lost a good one with his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you the family.
