Fred Holland

Fred Holland, 87, of College Station, passed away Wednesday, December 19 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Memorial Service is 4 PM, Sunday, December 23, at Beacon Baptist Church in Bryan. Interment will be in the Houston National Cemetery on December 31, 2012. Pastor Clinton Everitt will officiate. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Callaway Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Fred was born to John and Edna Helm Holland in Childress, Texas. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 – 1946. He married Johnnie Coker whom he was married to for 63 years. Johnnie and Fred had two children, Teresa and Bart. Fred was the owner and operator of Holland Cash Register Sales and Service. He was a Baptist.

Preceding him in death are his son Bart and parents, his two brothers and six sisters.

His survivors include his wife, Johnnie; his daughter, Teresa Holland Isbell; his grandchildren, Christy Young, Jordan Isbell, and Morgan Isbell; his great-grandson, Christopher Court.

  1. I am sorry to just be hearing of the passing of Mr Holland. I enjoyed many great conversations and walks with Fred and Christopher during 9 years as a neighbor. I know his family and friends will all miss him greatly, and the modeling rail world is better for having known him.
