Ethelene Norman Buffington, 91, of Bryan, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009, at her residence. Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at Central Church of Christ in Bryan, with Bob Wolfert officiating. There will be a private burial in Bullard, TX.

Ethlene was born in Bullard, Texas, on September 24, 1917, to Hugh and Berta Rasco. She was a member of Central Church of Christ in Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Buffington Sr.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Forrest and Gayle Norman, of Alvin, TX, Bobby and Phyllis Buffington, of Bryan, TX, John Lee and Kathy Buffington, of Houston, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Marianna Rasco, of Abilene, TX; sister, Merle Holmes, of Bryan, TX; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
