Clyde Hinton

Clyde J. Hinton, 84, formerly of Mesquite, Texas, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Grace Place in Bryan.  He is now in heaven celebrating with his Lord.  A time for family to receive friends and celebrate Clyde’s life will be from 2:00-4:00 on Saturday, May 5 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center, 3001 S College Ave in Bryan.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Clyde was born on March 2, 1934 to Clyde V. & Opal Hinton in Groveton, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, six sisters and one brother.

Survivors include his wife of almost 57 years, Doris Hinton: his daughter, Tracy Sanders of College Station and her husband, Bruce, who he loved like a son; two grandsons that he adored, Ty & Luke Sanders, one brother, Buddy Hinton (Peggy); lifelong best friends, David and Linda Hall; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Clyde will always be remembered for his contagious smile and a way of caring for those around him.

A special thank you to the wonderful caregivers at both Hospice Brazos Valley and Grace Place in Bryan.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley in Clyde’s honor, 502 W. 26th St. in Bryan.
