Sandy, Chris and Bryan,
It was with great sadness that we received the news of Walter’s passing. He was a real prince and I’m sure his homecoming in Heaven was with great celebration. We loved his smile, his warmth, and his genuine concern for others. He was a special friend to my dad, WB5KWF, but before that to us and our family.
Sandy, our boys fondly remember you as Mrs. Neaves. They are both doing well, in fact they are backpacking together in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State today. Mark is an electrical engineer with Microsoft in Redmond, WA, and Andrew is a Middle School principal up in Moody.
We know you will miss Walter greatly, even though you know he is no longer in pain and isn’t longing to go see Jesus any more. He has graduated with honors. May the coming days bring joy as you remember all that he was in his sojourn here on planet earth. There is much to be proud of and so very little to regret.
We are lifting you all up in prayer.
Mike & Kathy
Wishing you comfort during this difficult time of sadness.
We considered Walter and Sandy as dear friends. Our children grew up together in Belton. He was a stalwart in the community, an excellent public servant and an effective volunteer using his many skills where he could. Our prayers are with Sandy, Bryan and Chris.
Dear Sandy., I am so sorry I wasn’t a ware of Walters death until late Monday August 3rd. I had just returned from one of my many trips to Dallas and Jennifer told me. I treasured you both as dear friends because when Pete died 13 years ago y’all were always kind and helpful to me when I needed help. I am praying for you and your family. I hope that I will be able to hear from you and that we will be able to remain friends. I would like to send some kind of memento in Walters memory to the American Kidney Society if this is okay with you. My address is 508 E. 26th Avenue Belton Texas 76513. If you would prefer to all my phone number is (254) 718-8289.
May God bless you and your family during this loss in your lives.
I hope to hear from you soon.
