Josephine Arias

Josephine Arias, 80, of College Station, passed away peacefully on December 24 at Hospice Brazos Valley In-Patient Facility in Bryan. Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Saturday, December 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Msgr. John McCaffrey will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later in California along side her husband in Riverside National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Callaway Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Josephine was born to Alex and Delia (Mariscal) Solis in Los Angeles, California. Josephine married Tony Arias on June 1, 1958. Together they were married for forty-two years. She was housewife and stay at home mom to her two children. She found great joy in quilting, providing quilted blankets for family and friends. She treasured the love of her two grandchildren Lauren and Chris. Her loyal companion, Ginger, a long haired Chihuahua, will miss her greatly.

Josephine was a lady of strength and courage throughout her long illness. She is preceded in death by her husband Tony, her father Alex, her mother Delia, her grandson Chris Reeves, and sister Aurora Arias.

Josephine is survived by her son TJ and wife Laurie; her daughter Theresa Faust and husband Terry Teters; her granddaughter Lauren Reeves; her brothers Richard and Alex Solis; her sister Mary Louis Varela; father of her grandchildren Jeff Reeves.
