Alan R. MacDougall, 63, of Temple, passed away Wednesday November 30, 2011, at the Temple Living Center East.

Alan was born September 15, 1948, in Delta, Colorado, to Harold and Mary Katherine MacDougall. He lived in Austin, Texas from 1957 to 1977, attending both Austin High School and the University of Texas, where he graduated with a BA in 1973. He also attended the University of California at Berkeley, where he received his MLIS in 1981.

Alan was a retired Law Librarian. He was a standing member of the American Association of Law Libraries as well as the Northern California Association of Law Libraries. He worked and lived in San Francisco for 30 years.

Survivors include his brothers; David McMeans, of Washington D.C., Alex MacDougall, of Katy, Texas, Kent MacDougall, of Temple, Texas; and his sister, Nancy Richey, of Eugene, Oregon.
