Granny Shepperd, 94, passed away on the morning of September 6, 2012. Viewing will be on Monday, September 10th at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan, Texas, from 10 to 11 a.m. with a service immediately after. Interment will follow service at the College Station City Cemetery in College Station, Texas.
Willie was born in Stonewall County, Texas, to Walter and Rhoda Nelson Copeland. She spent her lifetime in service to God and her family as Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great-Grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters, two granddaughters, and one grandson.
Willie is survived by sons, Jerry and wife, Betty, of Austin; Larry and wife, Rhoda, of Richmond; Richard and wife, Rose Mary, of Corpus Christi; Walter and wife, Julia, of Carson City, Nevada; daughter, Mary Morse of College Station; 20 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Mary and your family at this sad time in your life. Mary and I have been friends since our school days in Roswell and I am also her cousin Audie Duncan’s sister-in-law so we are related in a round about way. Love to you Mary and your brothers.
