William Winslow, Jr., 79, of Bryan, passed away Friday morning, September 23, 2011, at his residence. A graveside service is set for 2 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2011, at the Bryan City Cemetery. Service arrangements are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.
William was born April 4, 1932, in Navasota, Texas, to William Sr. and Janie Winslow. He was known for watching westerns and spending many hours working in his woodshop, where he also enjoyed playing his Nintendo.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Buddy Winslow, sisters, Velma Sefcik, Rosie Schoolover, Jessie Benson, and his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife, Virginia Winslow, of Bryan; sons and daughter-in-law, Steve Pinson, Wayne and Carolyn Pinson, Kenneth Pinson, all of Bryan, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Sam Spurgeon, of Shepard, Texas, Susan and Michael Wilganowski, of Bremond, Texas; sister, Dorothy Evans, of Bryan; grandchildren, Heather Dunlap, Sammy Spurgeon, Victoria Lamb, James Lamb, Michael Wilganowski, Jr.; great grandchildren, Michael and Nathan Dunlap.
