William Irvan Foster
November 18, 1941 – November 2, 2015
William “Bill” Foster, 73, of Bryan, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015 in Bryan. The visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 5 to 7 pm with the rosary recited at 6pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 10am on Friday, November 6, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan. Interment will follow in the Bryan City Cemetery. Life Tribute Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.
Bill Foster was born to Irvan Fredrick and Ruth Minor Foster in Hannibal, Missouri on November 18, 1941. The family moved to College Station in 1954. He attended A&M Consolidated High School, and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors of Science in Technical Engineering. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the American Legion for many years. He worked at the Texas Department of Transportation, and retired 33 years later. His hobbies included fishing, being outdoors, and playing in multiple bands with various styles of music.
Preceding him death are his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years of marriage Elizabeth Kucera Foster; his daughter Diann “Dee Dee” Eggers and husband Scott; his son Patrick Foster and wife Margaret; his grandchildren Andy Eggers, and Riven and Rohan Foster.
Bill’s family asked memorial donations be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 507 East 26th Street, Bryan, Tx 77803 or to Traditions Hospice, 1862 Rock Prairie Road # 202, College Station, Tx 77845.
