Vanessa M. Gonzales, 30, of College Station was called to be with the Lord on Friday May 15, 2015. We will miss your beautiful smile, your silly giggles, and your “go getter” attitude. You were a beautiful mother who blessed us with four adorable angels, each of whom, have a piece of you within them.

Vanessa Marie Gonzales was born March 6, 1985, in Nampa Idaho, to Carol A. Contreras and Arnold Gonzales. She graduated from Timber Academy and from Blinn College with an Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Tech.

Vanessa was preceded in death by her beloved uncle, Joe, with whom she had a special bond and her great-grandfather, Nicodemus Montoya.
She is survived by her loving family who will miss her dearly: her parents, Carol and Norbert Contreras of College Station; stepbrothers, Nathan Contreras of Houston, Adam and Dori Contreras of California and Aaron Contreras of College Station; stepsister Adrienne and Adam Couch; nieces, Kaitlyn Gilmore, Kymberlie, Alexandra, and Julianne Contreras; her grandparents, Mateo and Aurora Orta; great-grandmother, Caroline Montoya; uncles, Juan and Robyn Orta of Bryan, Eddy and Joyce Orta of Fort Worth, Marcos Orta of Bryan, David Orta of Bryan and Jessie Orta of Bryan; aunts, Juanita Orta of Bryan, Rilla and Ahsanul Haq of Florida, Herminia and Manny Simien of Louisiana; cousins, Leanna, Lee Jr, Nick, Becky, Timmy, Mariah, Christopher, Johnathon, Alexandria, David Jr. Amina, Justine, Michael, Cryselda, Jesse Jr. and many more cousins.

Visiting hours for family and friends will be from 6 to 8pm on Monday, May 25, with a prayer service at 7:30pm in the St. Michael’s Academy Chapel, 2402 South College Ave, Bryan. Life Tribute Celebration Service will be at 10:30am Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Skybreak Church, 4010 Harvey Road, College Station. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

She was truly there for me when I needed her and always stood beside me. Its unbelievable that this actually is going on and words cannot explain how I feel.
