Valeria Jean Paulk, 42, of Smetana, passed away Tuesday morning, June 21, 2011, at her residence. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan. Funeral services celebrating her life will begin at 3:30 p.m. immediately following the visitation. Interment will be in Smetana Cemetery.

Valeria was born May 24, 1969, in Longview, Texas, to Marvin and LaDell Paulk. She has lived in the Smetana area for 25 years and worked as a clerk.

Survivors include her sons, Vincent Robert Luza and girlfriend Kelli Gomez, of Smetana, Damian Payne Greer, of Smetana; father, Marvin Paulk, of Louisian; mother, LaDell Paulk, of Marshall, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford and Darlene Paulk, Robert and Penny Paulk, Shane and Candace Paulk, all of Marshall, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Brandy Jones, of Marshall, Texas; granddaughter, Lanaiya Zumaya; and her special friend, Philip Bienski, of Smetana.
