Truby Zimmerman Mitchell, 98, passed away on December 23, 2012 in Oregon. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Cross Cemetery Church with interment to follow immediately at Cross Cemetery.

Truby was born to Curtis Shelby and Media Williams Clary on August 29, 1914 in Brazos County, Texas.

She lived in Channelview, Texas most of her married life and moved back to Bryan in the late 1970’s. She moved to Oregon State to live with her grandson Brad and his wife Stormy.

Truby was a member of the Reliance Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star of Bryan.

Truby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jimmie Lee Zimmerman and a daughter-in-law, Pat Buckalew Zimmermann.

She is survived by her sons, W. Sherman Zimmermann and J. Shelby Zimmermann; grandson, J. Brad Zimmermann and wife Stormy; granddaughter, Denise Thompson and husband Jim; great-grandchildren, Jack Zimmermann, Chance Zimmermann, Trevor Zimmermann, Jacob Zimmermann, Alex Cessac, Georgia Cessac; great-great granddaughter, Kaylin Zimmermann; numerous nieces and nephews.
