Sharon Sue Holder

Sharon Sue Holder, 51 of Bryan, passed away at her residence Tuesday, October 18, 2011 after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by all her family and her special friend. She was able to see her first grandchild who was just born October 14, 2011. A Memorial Service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, October 22 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan. Inurnment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Wealthy Cemetery in Normangee.

Sharon was born in Normangee, Texas on July 28, 1960 to Beverly Ellis and Curtis Lee Holder. Sharon loved life, never complained and was always concerned for others. She loved to dance, fish, camp, travel, decorate, and help the elderly. Sharon was loved and admired by all for her brave fight to survive.

She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Lee Holder.

Survivors include her husband Bruce Richards; son and his wife, Roger Lira and Heather Woodruff; mother, Beverly Ellis; brother, Ed Holder; granddaughter, Magdalena Rose Lira, dear friend Debbie Wedel and beloved pet Pee Wee, all of Bryan.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Scott Spencer with Brazos Lung Associates and his staff for all their expert care for Sharon.
