Roy Paul Wildey

Roy Paul Wildey, 76, of Bryan, passed away Tuesday morning, April 2, 2013 with his family by his side. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.

Roy was born September 13, 1936 in Emporia, Kansas, to Chester and Mary Wildey. He worked in the oil field for years and operated his own welding business. He was a HAM radio operator, known by his call sign W4Roy. Among many hobbies, he enjoyed being an outdoorsman the most. He loved cooking outside on his dutch oven, hiking, shooting guns, and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his brother Nate Wildey, and his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Ida Uzell Wildey; daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Robert Ridgway, Patty and Scott Hodde; sons and daughter-in-law, William Goodman, Chester and Deborah Wildey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chester and Barbara Wildey, Gene and Judy Wildey; niece, Sheri Wildey and her son Cole Troupe; nephew Craig Wildey and his son Zack; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and special thanks to Bobbie Ridgway and husband Cody Greenroyd, and also to Gennifer Ridgway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Traditions Hospice at 1862 Rock Prairie Rd. Ste 202, College Station, TX 77845.
