Richard E. King of Iola, Texas passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the Brazos Valley Hospice Center. Richard has donated his body to science and has chosen not to have services.

Richard is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruby King, his daughter Denise King of Iola, his son William King of Brenham, his aunt Mae Singletary of Texas City, and brother Carl King of Austin.  Richard has three grandchildren, Hannah King, Reace King, and Gunner King, all of Brenham.  Daughters of his heart Melinda Dawson and Christie Woods and grandchildren of his heart Hailey Lunsford, Sabrina Mullen, and David Brown.

Richard is also survived by his brothers-in-law David Sholmire and Lewis Sholmire and sisters-in-law Sylvia Lackey and Jackie Castilla as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
