Jose was born on January 20, 1961 in Cuidad Acuna, Mexico to Jaime Ortiz Hinostroza and Margarita Jaquez Hinostroza. He graduated from University of Houston. Jose mentored and shared the Gospel throughout his life as a Pastor. Most recently he officiated at his church, Pentecostal Iglesia Nueva in Bryan. He was devoted to his family and his church. Jose always had kind words for others and never met a stranger. He had a passion for the souls of others and their salvation. He rejoiced in giving advice to families, pastors and friends, always being positive, no matter what the circumstances were. He loved music, and was an avid sports enthusiast especially when it came to the Texans. Jose’s greatest passion in life was his ministry and his family. He always had a positive attitude and outlook on life, even when he got lost no the way to preach. His faith surpassed any and all trials and tribulations he faced. Jose also had a terrific sense of humor and often joked about his manicures and pedicures, as well as his spiked hair. He was a blessing to all who knew him. During Jose’s last two weeks with us, he showed immense love and compassion as he fought hard, never to complain about his sufferings. He has long awaited this journey home and is now rejoicing with our Heavenly Father.
Jose is preceded in death by his brother Alvaro Hinostroza.
