Ralph Wilson

Ralph “R.E.” Eugene Wilson, 86, of Bryan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2017 in Bryan, Texas. Born on February 26, 1930 in Leroy, Illinois, Ralph spent his career as a truck driver and involved in the trucking industry, which allowed him to see most, if not all, of our country while logging over 6 million miles.  He never ran out of ideas on how to improve or modify his equipment. He had his truck frame stretched to provide a large enough “house” for his wife to join him, and duly named it “The Whopper”.  He couldn’t wait to get home, enjoy a beer with his friends and large family, and tell of his many adventures while out on the road.

Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Frances “Lucy” Louise Allen (88), and their seven children, Daniel Wilson of Alvin, TX, Diane Green of Greenville, TX, Debra Wilson of Hearne, TX, Delayne Nichols of Victoria TX, Dana Wilson of Porter, TX, Derek Wilson of San Saba, TX and Joe Wilson of Porter, TX.  Ralph is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.  He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew and loved him.

Plans for a memorial service and celebration of life are pending.

Condolences
