Condolences

  1. We will surely miss Phyllis, her friendship, her advice, her help, her support, her great personality, etc.

Our love and sympathy to Alan, Calvin, and Chance.

  2. Alan, Calvin, and Chance,

Please know that my prayers and thoughts are with all of you. I will always remember the quiet strength of Phyllis, and our time together listening to Tech beat TAMU.

  3. Best friends in High School and after – my Heroine in championing children and education – my Mentor in Faith, blessings to the family of my girlfriend Phyllis who is at the Right Hand of the Lord with suggestions for improvement as we speak. I’ll always love her and you – call on us if you need anything. – Amanda, Carl, Tamalyn, Carla, Erin and Allison Arnold.

  4. So sorry to hear about Phyllis. She was my Biology teacher at St. Joseph High School (Victoria,TX) in the 80’s. She really pushed me hard as I was struggling at the time. I went on to earn an “A” that year and give her all the credit. She also honored me with a Biology Award at the end of the year. She made quite an impression on me. May God Bless your family and wrap His loving arms around you all.

  5. Alan,

So very sorry to learn of Phyllis’ passing. We know this will be a difficult time for you and your sons, but God will get you through it. You will be in our thoughts and prayers…..

  6. Dear Robert, Calvin and Chance,

I worked with your wife and mother on several projects through the Dana Center. She was a great mentor, demanding excellence and accuracy in our work. She never failed to produce the best from my colleague, Lisa Duvall, and I. And each time we met, she mentioned all three of you in some way. She loved you all.

Wishing you peace and strength this Christmas season.

    Peace,

    Mary A. Spivey
