Patsy Ruth SanAngelo, 81, of Bryan, passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer Thursday evening, July 28, 2011, at her residence surrounded by family and friends. The family will welcome friends at a visitation on Sunday, July 31, 2011, from 5 to 7pm at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan. Funeral services celebrating her life are set for 10am, Monday, August 1, 2011, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Patsy was born September 3, 1929, in Pleasant Grove, Arkansas, to Joe and Blanche Bowman. She was known as “Miss Pat” by most of the people she worked with. Patsy retired from Tommy’s drive-in in Bryan. Fishing and gardening were among the hobbies that she enjoyed the most.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vince SanAngelo; sister, Agnes Gregory; brothers, Jessie Bowman, George Bowman, Gene Bowman; and her parents.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia Jones, Delores and Larry Johnson, Brenda and Joe Nelson, Mary Hernandez, all of Bryan; brother-in-law, Sammy SanAngelo; sisters-in-law, JoAnn SanAngelo, Molly Sweeden, Lena Parker; grandchildren and spouses, Darrell and Crystal Daniel, Roy and Jennifer Johnson, Jeffrey and Rachel Johnson, Joey and Amanda Johnson, Larry Johnson and Catherine Mickey, Brandon Nelson, Brett Nelson; and 14 great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons along with her son-in-law, Joe Nelson.
