William F. “Bill” McIe, 79, of College Station, Texas, died December 31, 2020, at The Waterford of College Station after a long illness.
He was born on January 20, 1941, in Van Voorhis, WV, right outside Morgantown, WV, to the late Charles Everett and Lela McIe. He graduated from University High School in Morgantown, WV in 1959. He was a mechanic and had his own business, Bill’s Repair, for over 25 years. He loved hot rods, and NASCAR, and was one of the original members of the Bluebonnet Street Rodders of Bryan-College Station.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Patricia Ann Canatella and husband Michael, a granddaughter, Alyssa Nicole Medrano and husband Cody, and two great grandsons, Jace Michael and William Charlie Medrano, all of New Braunfels, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Laura Marie McIe, as well as five sisters (Helen, Bonnie, Thelma, Joyce, and Madaline) and three brothers (Dolan, Jack, and Paul).
The family wishes to thank Allumine Home Health and Hospice and the Waterford of College Station for all of their care and help.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Allumine Home Health and Hospice and Still Creek Ranch. Arrangements are in the care of Callaway-Jones. Certified Celebrant Dawn Lee Wakefield will officiate graveside services, Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at 1:00 pm, at Restever Memorial Park in Bryan, Texas. Come as you are, no need for formal attire, just as Bill would prefer.
