William G. Breazeale Jr.

William Griffin (Bill) Breazeale, Jr., passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the age of 84. Bill was born on October 26, 1940 in El Paso, Texas. After serving in the U.S. Army for four years after high school, Bill worked for Borden Chemicals in Jackson, Mississippi. Subsequently, he owned and operated a Western Auto business in Freer, Texas. He completed his professional career in commercial transportation, retiring to Waco, Texas. Bill was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner.

Bill was a follower of Jesus, having especially been touched by God in January 2010 during “The Walk to Emmaus”, a three-day Christian retreat focused on spiritual renewal and growth. His participation was sponsored through the Brownwood Christian Retreat Center in Brownwood, Texas.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Griffin and Loraine Breazeale. He is survived by his three children, Darla Breazeale of Austin, Jennifer Breazeale of Methuen, MA, William Griffin (Trey) Breazeale, III (Jana) of Ft Worth; sister Peggye Jane Pielop (Bill) of Houston;  nieces Debbie Autenrith, Betsy Thiele (Lain) and several cousins. He has two grandchildren, Aaron and Amanda Breazeale. Bill’s life was also impacted by other “bonus” children, Renee Phillips (Ken) and Darren Walters (Teresa).

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the Callaway-Jones Funeral Home, 3001 S. College Avenue, Bryan, Texas.
