Vincent James Campise Jr., 77, passed away on October 25, 2024, in Bastrop, Texas. Vincent was born on January 3, 1947, in Houston, Texas, to Katherine Viviani and Vincent James Campise, Sr.
Vincent was a self-employed classical piano teacher who retired in 2014. He absolutely loved the great composers, including, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Tchaikovsky, with Bach being his favorite.
Vincent obtained his Master of Fine Arts Degree in Music from Pan-American College in Edinburg, Texas. For over forty years, he proudly sang in two church choirs, Saint Anthony Church and Saint Joseph Church both in Bryan, Texas. His life was devoted to being a private piano teacher. His students were a bright spot in his life, and held a special place in his heart.
Vincent was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Kay Stallings; nieces, Charlotte Kinsman, Lisa Tharp, Julie Wills; and nephew, James Wills, Jr.
A visitation and rosary service will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home located at 3001 S. College Avenue, Bryan, Texas.
The funeral mass will be held Friday, November 8, 2024, at 1:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 401 S. Parker Avenue, Bryan, Texas, followed by a graveside burial at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2811 Old Kurten Road in Bryan, Texas. The family invites everyone to the burial ceremony. After which, a reception will follow at the church.
