Thomas Herrera

Mr. Thomas G. Herrera, age 69, of Bryan, Texas, went to be with his lord and savior on March 10, 2025. Thomas was married to his loving wife Carol Herrera for 50 years and had one daughter, Valarie Garza. Thomas was a certified auto and diesel mechanic, an auto business owner (Mazz Auto Sales), and a life-long self employed truck driver whose career spanned many companies to include Bryco, Rollins Leasing, State Wide Materials and Pachuca’s Trucking. Thomas had many hobbies and interests and enjoyed spending time with his family, having “cook outs” for his family and friends, working on projects to include his muscle cars and diesel trucks, home renovations, and enjoyed boxing and drag racing. Thomas is survived by his wife Carol Herrera, his daughter Valarie Garza (Lauro), his sisters Mary Ann Hernandez (Jesse), Gloria Gonzalez (Evaristo), Rosie Sauseda (Bobby), Sara Ramirez (Roy), and sister in-law Rosie Herrera (Raul, Jr.). Thomas is proceeded in death by his father Raul Herrera Sr., his mother Anita Herrera, brother Raul Herrera Jr, his Father-in-law Job Salazar, and Mother-in-law Connie S. Salazar. Thomas is also survived by members of Carol’s family to include Annette Barajas (Ben), Brenda Bernal (Arthur), Cynthia Castillo (Joel). In addition, Thomas is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A service to celebrate and honor his life will be held on March 18, 2025 at 10am, at Callaway-Jones in Bryan, Texas. The service will be officiated by Mr. Joel Lazo of Houston.
