Sugene Hall

November 13, 1941 — August 24, 2024

Sugene Hall, 82, of College Station passed away on August 24th, 2024.

Sugene, the daughter of John R. and Clara Jones, grew up in the small town of Price, Texas. She is survived by her husband, John “Petie” Hall; son and daughter-in-law Kenn and Melissa; and grandson, Hunter.

She married her high school sweetheart, Petie, and they both graduated from North Texas University to pursue careers in education. She taught elementary school for 32 years, primarily in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD.

After retiring, she and John moved to College Station and became “adopted Aggies” as they knew that is where they could always find their son’s family.  Kenn was class of ’90, Melissa ’91 and her grandson, Hunter, just graduated as class of ’22.  She enjoyed attending football games (pretending to watch) and making friends with everyone around her.

Sugene loved flowers and spent her retirement years tending her flower gardens.  She also loved to be in the kitchen and always had something ready to serve up for any guest who came through the door. She treated everyone like family and always made them feel at home. Most of all, she enjoyed following her grandson, Hunter, attending as many of his games and events as she could.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Dementia Society of America https://www.dementiasociety.org/mission or the Alzheimer’s Association https://www.alz.org/.

Service will be held at The Aggie Field of Honor & Memorial Cemetery Pavillion, Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 9:30 am.  This is going to be an outdoor service so please dress accordingly.  An interment will follow for family and close friends.
