Sibley "Rick" Orrick Jennings

S. Orrick “Rick” Jennings (82) passed away on December 16, 2024, in Bryan, TX. He was born in Corpus Christi, TX on December 20, 1941, to Aimee (Reilly) and George Johns. At an early age, he was adopted by Carl B. Jennings. Rick had a long career in the banking industry as a trust tax manager and trust officer/vice president. He was an independent financial advisor for the Stranahan Family. Later in his career, he was a fundraiser for the Hayes Presidential Center and Toledo Museum of Art before retiring in 2000. Rick also served as a board member in numerous charitable organizations.

Rick loved to travel and was fortunate to have visited all 50 United States including 26 National Parks. He also traveled to all the Canadian Provinces and parts of Mexico, Europe, Africa and Asia. He enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, Legos and solving puzzles of various kinds. He also enjoyed helping people who were less fortunate in life.

Rick was preceded in death by his long-time partner, Linda A. Mainz and his grandson, Neil Brixton Rowell. He is survived by the mother of his children Helen (Jennings) Wakefield and his three daughters; Lisa Jennings (Eric Brandt), Katie Rowell (Anthony Rowell), and Laura Fravor. 8 grandchildren, Dustin Allen Reisdorff, Tyler Joseph Reisdorff, Anthony Curtis Rowell Jr, Jaylon D’Shawn Rowell, Caleb Orrick Rowell, Kysen Elijiah Rowell, Hannah Elisabeth Fravor, and Jonathan Samuel Fravor; 4 great-grandchildren, Alleigha Lynn Reisdorff, Kaysen Talon Reisdorff, Denver Jo Junior Reisdorff and Rhaenyra Rowell; and his brother, Matthew Ellis Jennings (Pat Donovan), and numerous friends and colleagues.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 10 am with a celebration of life following at 11 am at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home, 3001 S. College Avenue, Bryan, TX.
