Sara Beth Williams

February 4, 1963 — January 11, 2021

Sara Beth Williams, 57, passed away peacefully on January 11th, 2021 in Bryan, TX. Visitation will be 3:30-4:00pm Friday, February 12th, with services following, at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

She loved rhythm & blues music, novelty t-shirts and reading up on European royal families – most of all, Sara adored spending time with her family and sharing stories with new friends.

As a lifelong resident of Bryan-College Station, Sara cherished her community and dedicated her career to uplifting neighbors from all walks of life. Upon graduating from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in social work (’85), she applied a true Aggie sense of passion and skill toward serving individuals in need. Sara was working over the course of her 35-year career for: infants and mothers at neonatal clinics, pre-K and elementary students, teens and adults suffering housing instability, and disabled seniors needing assistive care. It might be possible that several Brazos County families have a member in each generation that was impacted by her life’s work.

Sara was preceded in death by her beloved father, John Albert Blasienz.

Sara is survived by her mother, Madeline Weiss Blasienz; her brother, David (Laurie) Blasienz; her two children and their partners, Reed (Jessie) Williams and Melissa (Chase) Williams Nevels; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews from the Weiss family of Brenham, TX and the Williams family.
