Sandra Joy Reagan Davis, 84, of Bryan, passed away peacefully Friday, April 7, 2023 at her home. Sandra was born on August 26, 1938, in Seale Community in Robertson County, Texas to Kittie Faye and Gervase Reagan. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1956, received a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University and a Master of Education from Texas A&M University in 1975.
After marrying her high school sweetheart, Carl Davis, in 1959, Sandra taught English and home economics in the Angleton Independent School District for several years before moving, in 1970, to Bryan where she completed a thirty-seven year career as a classroom teacher and an administrator as the Federal Programs Director in the Bryan Independent School District. After her retirement, she worked an additional sixteen years as the first Executive Director of the Bryan ISD Education Foundation, culminating fifty-three years of dedicated and loyal service devoted to educating children. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church-Bryan where she enjoyed studying God’s word and serving on numerous committees.
Sandra had the sweetest gift of seeing the best qualities in other people and sharing the best of herself in return. Her thoughtful and selfless service ministered to those needing encouragement. She deeply loved her LORD and her family, embracing each new member with the same joy-filled love she held for her own. To her family and all that knew Sandra, her life was a testimony to the strength and faithfulness of the One in whom she placed her trust.
