Ruth “Sindi” Gamboa, 42, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022, in Bryan. Funeral Service will be at 11 am, Friday, June 17, 2022, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

Sindi was born on June 10, 1979, in Hearne to Maria Alba. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. Her smile and beauty lit up any room. She was a very determined young lady who learned quickly any task given to her. Her most proud achievement was being a mother to her children, Melanie, Kaylen, and Jayden. Sindi’s life and beliefs were centered around God. She was a devoted Christian who loved volunteering at Skybreak Church. She uplifted and encouraged others around her and was always there to listen. Her hobbies included cooking, traveling, shopping, and doing crafts. Anyone that knew Sindi loved her and spoke highly of her. People described her as “funny, super sassy, very stylish…” as well as, “always welcoming, and forever smiling.”

She is preceded in death by her second mother Matiana Garcia Gamboa

She is survived by her children, Melanie Sanchez, Kaylen Sanchez, and Jayden Sanchez; her siblings, Guillermo “Willie” and wife Jessica Gamboa, Patricia and husband Juan Vela, Abraham and wife Jennifer Gamboa, Armando and wife Brenda Gamboa, Rosa and husband Mauro Fernandez, Rigoberto and wife Gina Gamboa, Omar Gamboa, Oscar and wife Angelica Gamboa, Juan and wife Ma. Lourdes Gamboa; a host of nephews and nieces; and other relatives.
