Ruby enjoyed going to whatever activities her grandchildren were involved in – school programs, livestock shows, ball games, shooting sports, Halloween carnivals and volunteering in the schools. After Willie died, she decided to move to College Station to be closer to her family in 2007. She remained active by joining the Red Hat Society and found a new church home at Christ United Methodist Church where she made many new friends. Ruby stayed active until she developed dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease.
