Robert Schulz

Robert Schulz, 87, of College Station Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020.

Robert Schulz was born on November 6, 1932 to Minnie and Willie Schulz in Bellville Texas. He
attended school in Bellville, Texas and graduated from Bellville High School. He served in the United
States Army from 1953 to 1955 with the 27th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion in Kaiserslatern,
Germany.

Robert was married to Joy Stalbaum on May 22, 1955 and this year they celebrated their 65th
wedding anniversary. He worked for the Texas Department of Highways and Public
Transportation in Hempstead, Texas and retired in 1985 as Maintenance Supervisor after 35
years of service.

Robert moved to the Bryan-College Station area in 1991. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran
Church and was an avid worker on the Lay Weeder Committee. He loved to fish and garden.
His grandchildren were the joy of his life and he traveled many miles to see their baseball,
football, soccer, softball and basketball games.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Minnie and Willie Schulz.

He is survived by his wife Joy, daughters Rhonda and husband Donn Norton, Sharon and
husband Darrell Loukanis and Shirley and husband Donnie Richards, grandchildren Robert
Hartman, Craig Hartman, Jake Loukanis, Shannon Loukanis, and step-granddaughter Reba
Richards.

Visitation will begin at 1 pm until the time of service at 2 pm, Monday, August 10, 2020, at Bethel Lutheran Church, Bryan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Bethel Lutheran Church Prayer Garden, 4221
Boonville Rd., Bryan Texas 77802 or Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 W 26th St., Bryan Texas
