Robert A. Schmidt

Robert A. Schmidt, 84, of Navasota, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2022, at his home.

Robert was the proud son of the late Claire Hundt and Andrew M. Schmidt.  Bob Schmidt, the name Robert preferred.  Bob was a loving husband and soulmate to Ervin McLellan for more than 39 years.  He was a very compassionate person toward his fellow man and fought to end the cruelty towards animals, and had an unwavering commitment to do all  he could to preserve elephants on our planet.  Bob fought diligently to help correct the cleft lips of children.  He was always upbeat, full of life and had an infectious smile as witnessed by everyone who met him.

He is survived by his husband Ervin McLellan, and closest relatives William Hundt and Mary Jean Hundt, and a host of loyal friends.

Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.
