Richard Lee Allen was born on January 25, 1957, in Houston, Texas. He loved to spend a lot of his childhood days with his Paw Paw, J. T. Griffin, and his Grandpa, Edd Chytil, on their ranch and farm. This life never lost its appeal to Ricky. Even in his last days he helped on his family’s ranch, when time permitted. In his younger years, he and his parents, Kenneth Allen and Nancy Allen, lived in Houston, Tx, until they moved to Friendswood, Texas, in 1968. There Ricky attended school from Jr. High – Graduation. Ricky flourished and loved the game of football. He even helped his dad coach his younger brothers, Brian and Randall, on the “Chiefs” little league football team. He played football for Friendswood Jr. High and High School. During his junior year of high school, Ricky made All American in football in 1973 and his team won the State Championship. Ricky furthered his football career at Auburn University where he played defensive tackle. At the completion of his time at Auburn, Ricky pursued a prosperous career in sales. He loved working with people and customers and was an outstanding salesman. Perhaps his career was launched early on in his high school years when he was selling peanut brittle for a fundraiser. One of the other mothers said, “Ricky could sell snow cones to the Eskimos.”
In 2015, Ricky and Fay married, and they traveled together working in sales. Ricky and Fay made their home in Bryan, Texas. Along with Ricky’s secular job, he helped his mom and dad on their ranch, and attended, as a member, of Reliant Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas.
Ricky was a loving husband, son, brother and uncle. He left behind his wife, Fay Allen, his mother and father, Nancy and Kenneth Allen, his brother Brian Allen, his brother Randall Allen and wife, Tonya Allen, and niece and nephew, Lauren and Jarrett Allen.
