Phillip Randal Hodges died peacefully at Baylor Scott and White Hospital on April 2, 2025 in College Station, TX at the age of 69.

Phillip, known as Randy by most, was born on May 14, 1955 at the Bryan Airforce Hospital in Bryan, TX. He graduated from Bryan High School in 1974 and set out to take on the world. On December 22, 1975, he married the love of his life, Mary Margaret Miears. They were blessed with their greatest accomplishment, a daughter, Heather Renee a short time later on February 21, 1982.

Throughout his life, Randy enjoyed many different activities including hunting, moonlighting as a rancher on his farm, attending Aggie sporting events (especially baseball & football), NASCAR races, historical reenactments, watching every western ever made and road trips. After retiring from Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Services, he devoted himself to his family, whether that was serving as the road trip navigator, conflict resolution specialist, or caregiver for his ailing parents, family was always first.

Randy is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hodges; parents, Fred Austin and Leila Jeanette Hodges; in-laws, Frank and Theda Mae Miears, brother, David Wayne Hodges Sr., nephew David Wayne Hodges Jr. and beloved dog KC. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Renee Daigle of Bryan. TX; grandson, Draconus Daigle; siblings, Sharon Newland and husband Waine of Bryan, TX and Mary Beebee and husband Wayne of Sylvester, GA; sister-in-law, Judy Hodges of Bryan, TX, as well as his beloved nieces, nephews & numerous other loved ones.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:30 PM Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Alexander United Methodist Church Cemetery in the Tabor Community.
