Philip Rosprim, 60, of Bryan, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023, in Bryan. Visitation is from 10 am until the time of service at 11am, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the funeral center. Phil was born in Richmond on November 10, 1962, to Joe and Betty Love Rosprim. After he graduated high school, he entered construction. He played a huge part in building Post Oak Mall, 40 years ago. He spent many years at Kent Moore Cabinets, and after going into construction for himself. He worked his way up at American Lumber before retiring to own 5R Trucking Company.

He has always loved being outdoors. From hunting, fishing, cooking, you could always find him in his shop with a cold beer in his hand after a hard day’s work. On weekends he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and spoiling them. Family days are what he looked forward to most. Inviting his everyone to come swim while he cooked up a batch of his famous ribs, wings, or brisket. He cared about every detail, down to having enough popsicles in the fridge for his grandbabies.

Two years ago, he was able to be part of a TV Show “Buckmasters” for terminally ill people who are taken on special guided hunts. He never saw himself as sick or weak, and kept his spirits up always. He was also able to go on a guided fishing trip in the Gulf of Mexico. He impacted the lives of everyone he met and never met a stranger.

If Phil taught us anything, it’s to not take a single day for granted, and make each day count.

His father Joe Rosprim precedes him in death. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Viki Lyn Rosprim; his children, Philip Joe “PJ” and wife Shana Rosprim, Selina Falco, Sierra Falco, Joshua and wife Amanda Rosprim, and Lauren and Jacob Huff; his brother, Mark and wife Yvonne Rosprim; his eleven grandchildren, and other close friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brazos Valley Hospice.
