Molly Ann Swink Dover, 69 of College Station, Texas passed into the arms of Jesus on September 3rd, 2022. Molly was born on November 26, 1952 in Jacksonville, Texas to J. Mack and Iva Louise Swink. She was the oldest of 6 children born into the Swink family.
Molly fell in love with Jesus at a very young age and followed Him faithfully all of her life. She was known for her beauty both without and within. She was also known for her sweet spirit, her kindness, her servant’s heart, and especially her beautiful and radiant smile. Molly graduated from Jacksonville High School, and then attended both Lon Morris Jr. College and Jacksonville Baptist College before marrying the love of her life, Wayne Dover on August 18, 1972. They moved to Bryan, Texas in August of 1973 which is where they raised their two daughters Mandy and Christy.
Molly was blessed with so many talents, including being able to bake anything or decorate anything. She used her creative skills to decorate many church functions at Central Church, community events throughout Bryan/College Station, and many wedding ceremonies throughout the Brazos Valley and beyond. She was also known far and wide for her sewing abilities, and she used those skills for her own purse business and for also making costumes for The Theatre Company of Bryan (which was written about in the Bryan Eagle on several occasions.)
Molly was proceeded in death by her parents, her daughter Christy, and her brother, Jerry.
Survivors include her loving husband, Wayne; their daughter Mandy, and her husband Dr. Cliff Walker and their son Trey; her granddaughters Mackenzie Scanlin, Madison Scanlin, and Mali Termotto; her great granddaughter Layla Grace Gomez; her sister Patty Yeary; brother Mack Swink and wife Jill; sister Joyce Sledge and husband Dale; sister Tammy Steward; brother in law Wilbur Dover and wife Sue; sister in law Glenda Humphreys and her husband Charles; brother in law Gary Dover and his wife Sonja; sister in law Becky Westbrook and her husband Kent; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Molly will be from 5-7pm Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center in Bryan. Her Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00pm Thursday, Sept. 8, at Central Church, with a light reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a Hospice group of your choosing or to the American Cancer Society.
Molly’s family would like to thank the Bryan Cancer Clinic, Dr. Erin Fleener, all the staff at Traditions Home Healthcare group, and all of their aids and nurses.
