Mildred Hummel

Mildred Hummel, 94, was born July 17, 1930, passed away peacefully on April 3rd, 2025. Mildred graduated from Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston state. In her career, she worked at Texas A&M for 15 years and the USDA for 21 years. After retirement she volunteered at St. Joseph Regional Hospital for over 20 years. Mildred was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy D. Hummel. She is survived by her children Kathy Gorzycki and spouse Ken Gorzycki, David Hummel, and spouse Debbie Hummel, her granddaughter Casey Brown and spouse Clint Brown, great grandchildren Cooper and Camryn Brown. Mildred will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother, for her kindness, unwavering energy and her sneaky sense of humor. Friends and family are invited to join us in celebration of her life on Tuesday April 8, 2025 at Callaway Jones Funeral Home 3001 S. College Ave. Visitation is from 12:30-2:00pm and burial at College Station Cemetery at 2530 Texas Ave S.
