Michelle Suzanne Campbell, 55, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at her home in Bryan, Texas. She was born on May 1, 1967, in Omaha, Nebraska to John T. Devall, Jr., and Amelie L. Devall of Houston, TX.
After graduating from Clear Lake High School, Houston, TX in 1985, Michelle received her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in Psychology and Management in 1989, and her Teaching Certificate in 1990. Before beginning her teaching career at Bryan Independent School District (BISD), Michelle’s working career included many years as a Trust Officer at Wells Fargo Bank, a Research Administrator at Texas A&M Research Foundation, a Senior Project Manager at Texas Engineering Experiment Station. While working at BISD, Michelle received her Certification in Special Education, and taught special needs children at Crockett Elementary and Anson Jones Elementary for 11 years.
In addition to being an exceptional educator, Michelle was a devoted wife, mother, and daughter. When she wasn’t spending time with family and friends, Michelle loved to travel, play word games, watch movies, and so much more. Her true joys in life were her family and helping children with special needs.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Charles Michael Campbell, sons Travis Frazer Hines (wife Sydney) and Ryan Matthew Hines (fiancée Raymie), and stepsons Cody Hines (wife Allison), and Braden Hines, all of Bryan, TX; her parents, John and Amelie Devall; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in her passing by her brother John T. Devall III of Webster, TX.
A visitation for Michelle will be held 11AM – 1PM on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home, 3001 S. College Ave, Bryan, TX, followed immediately by her funeral at 1PM. Her internment will be at the Aggie Field of Honor & Memorial Cemetery.
