Michelle Christina Yeager

June 2, 1972 — December 6, 2020

Michelle Yeager, 48, of Snook, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, TX. Visitation is set for 2 pm and a Life Tribute Celebration is set for 3 pm, Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center, 3001 South College Avenue, Bryan, officiated by Dawn Lee Wakefield, Certified Life Celebrant.

She was born June 2, 1972, in Bryan, Texas, to James D. “Danny” Yeager and Rhonda Kay (Cates) Carpenter. She completed her high school education in Bryan schools. In her work career, she was a bookkeeper.

Michelle loved her daughters with all of her heart and she enjoyed doing crafting and helping those in need. All they had to do was call her and she’d be right there to help. You never had a bad time around her and she was determined to make everyone feel at home and comfortable in her presence. Music was a key part of her life and some of her favorite songs were the best in country music, old and new.

Recognized and loved as the virtual “life of the party” at any family gathering, Michelle had a gift for encouraging others to come out of their shells, even to the point of considering karaoke singing, something she enjoyed herself. Doing for others was really the code she lived by, as that was her role in life, the consummate hostess and welcomer to life as we know it, a giant celebration just the way she loved.

Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Billy Sr. and Kathleen Cates, James and Violet Yeager; birth father, Danny Yeager; second father, Ted Carpenter; her brother, Steven J. Yeager; her uncles, Mike Cates and Dusty Cates; aunts, Judy Janac and Carolyn Watson.

Michelle is survived by her daughters, Torey and Dusti Gustavus, her mother; Kay Carpenter, brother, Collin (Rachael) Yeager, Clint Yeager, and sisters, Marylou Carpenter, Bonnie (Daniel) Orr, and Jacquelyn (Jason) Dodson; aunt, Patty Swoboda Bigi; aunt, Rose Cates; uncle, Johnny (Ann) Yeager; uncle, Joe Janac, numerous cousins, additional relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Southwest Transplant Alliance. It is also Michelle’s wish that those inclined consider becoming an organ donor to help someone in need continue their lives. Condolences may be expressed at CallawayJones.com/Michelle-Yeager
