Michael Xavier Ramirez, 48, of College Station, Texas passed away on March 9, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
A memorial mass will be held in his honor on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 300 Nagle Street, College Station, Texas followed by a reception at the Memorial Student Center.
Michael was born on August 5, 1976 in San Antonio. He graduated from Sharyland High School as band president in 1995. He moved to Rhode Island to pursue his passion in culinary, attending Johnson & Wales University. After graduating he worked catering in hotels and was the general manager of Tony Roma’s on the River Walk in San Antonio.
On November 22, 2003, he married Marisa Morin, and they built a beautiful life together. Michael and Marisa raised their family in San Antonio, Texas, before Whataburger moved him to College Station as an Area Manager in 2019. He began working at Texas A&M Dining Services in 2021 and started a small business, Walk Off’s Snack Shack in 2022.
A loving husband and father, Michael dedicated his life to loving his family and honoring our Lord. Having been extremely gifted with his hands he carried a passion in cooking and occasional craftsmanship. Being the handyman that he was, Michael was known to take on many fixer-upper projects and as per usual leave things better than when he found them. He touched many lives with his kindness and generosity, often volunteering and helping others.
Michael Xavier Ramirez is preceded in death by Grandparents Elena and Joe Ramirez Sr. and Salome Esquivel and Joe Villareal, as well as, his uncles Joe Luis and Johnny Villareal.
Michael is survived by his wife, Marisa Ramirez, their children, Patrick Ramirez-Reyes, Gavin Morin, and Miamichelle Ramirez, their dogs Scooby and Scrappy. He also leaves behind his parents, Joe and Anita Ramirez and Angelica Rios, his sisters, Linda Ramirez-Cavasos and Roland, Debby Ramirez and Eric, Felicia Medrano and Hector, and Sandy Reyna and Lucas and nephews, Nick, Joseph, Rome and Niece, Kay Marie.
Michael’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family, friends, and community will be deeply missed, but forever remembered.
