Mike was born on July 5, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the oldest of 4 boys and loved adventure! Straight out of high school he took his first trip to Alaska and would return multiple times over the course of his lifetime. Shortly after that first trip he joined the Air Force and ended up at Reece Air Force Base in Lubbock, Texas where he met and married the love of his life, Teresa Ann Cunningham. They married on August 18, 1973 and started their marriage that would last over 50 years. He was a godly man who loved the Lord and he strived to be the spiritual covering for his wife and children.
Mike owned and operated several business in Lubbock including 15 years at Auto Salvage. He always worked hard to support his family. To set an example for his two children, he went back to school and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas Tech University 1995. Mike would spend the next 25+ years loving his grand babies and attempting to save the world on Facebook.
In 2023 Mike and Teresa, followed their 6 grandchildren and moved south to College Station, TX. In the end Mike was surrounded by those he loved the most. He entered his heavenly home on March 6, 2025. He will be laid to rest in Bryan, TX with military honors on March 14, 2025.
He is survived by his mother, Wilma Dailey, His three brothers: David, Dan, and Dennis. His wife Teresa. His daughter Rebecca Forester and her husband Kent, and his four grand daughters Mekala (& David Leininger), Hannah, Sarah and Emma Naomi, and his great-grand daughter Brianna. His son David Dailey and his wife Diane and his two grandsons, Caleb and Benjamin.
A celebration of life will be held in May in Lubbock, time and dates to be decided later.
