Maxine Lammergard

July 3, 1932 — July 15, 2020

Maxine Haney Lammergard of Bryan, Texas (formerly from Austin, Texas) passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 15, 2020 under the loving and compassionate care of Hudson Creek Alzheimers Special Care Center and Encompass Health Hospice Care.

Maxine was born on July 3rd, 1932 in Waco, Texas. On March 2nd, 1966 (Texas Independence Day) she married Peter Lammergard. He raised Maxine’s four sons as his very own. Maxine was a homemaker for most of her married life. After the boys were grown she went to work as a secretary at the Texas State Real Estate Commission in Austin and retired after 10 years of dedicated service. Maxine’s family meant the world to her, often putting their needs above her own. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and they all loved her very much. Maxine was a wonderful cook and she loved cooking and baking for her family. Most Friday or Saturday evenings were spent at their favorite Mexican restaurant Tres Amigos in Austin.

Maxine is survived by her husband Peter Lammergard, sister Anita Pick and husband Holly, sons Kevin Kubiak and wife Pam, Timothy Kubiak and wife Barbara, Brian Kubiak and wife Becky. She had five grandchildren Brandee, Meghan, Jennifer, Lance and Cody. She had numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents Rena and John Leamen Haney, brothers Wade, Billy, Cleo, Kenneth, Terry and beloved son Gerald Kubiak.
