Mary Louise Sustaita

Mary Louise Atkinson Sustaita was born on March 23, 1939, in Richmond, Texas, and was a lifelong resident of Bryan, Texas. She passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Andrew “Andy” Sustatia, her beloved daughter, Esther Lynne Sustatia, and her beloved granddaughter, Leslie Sustaita. She is survived by her siblings Helen (& Joe) Gonzales; her children, Mary “Vicki” and Ernest Ortiz, Teri and Dale Johnson, Andy and Amy Sustaita, and David and Michelle Sustaita. Along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.

Mary Lou was a loving and kind-hearted woman who brought joy to everyone she met. She worked for 50 years running Andy’s Auto Repair, where she greeted every customer with a smile and treated them like family. Known for her elegance and style, she was always dressed impeccably from head to toe, a reflection of her graceful and beautiful soul.

Mary Lou spent her final New Year’s Eve surrounded by her family, celebrating the bonds of love and togetherness that defined her life.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 10am, with a Life Tribute Celebration service to begin at 11am, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center, 3001 S College Ave in Bryan. Interment will follow in the Restever Memorial Park Cemetery in Bryan.
