Martha Royder

Martha Royder 89 of Wellborn, Texas passed away on January 6, 2023 in College Station.  Martha was born in Burleson County, Texas on September 9,1933 to Frank W. Jakubik and Annie Wattuber Jakubik.  She graduated from Snook High School.  On December 30,1955 she married Donald Royder in Wellborn, Texas.

Martha worked at Texas A&M University from which she retired after 26 years of service.   While she loved to travel, she also enjoyed fishing and gardening.  She never met a stranger, always had time for everyone, and never failed to take the hand of a child and make them feel special.  While Martha will be dearly missed by all who knew her, she would want everyone to know that she was more than prepared and eager to meet her Lord and Savior.

Martha is preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Royder Olexey; her father Frank W. Jakubik, her mother Annie Wattuber Jakubik and her sister Anita Sebesta.   She is survived by her husband of 67 years Donald Royder of Wellborn, TX, son and daughter-in-law Donald and Geraldine Royder of Snook, TX, daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Bill Brown of College Station, TX, daughter and son-in-law Carol and Dennis Carey of Lyons, TX, daughter Mary Cunningham of Lyons, TX, son David Royder of Wellborn, TX and son and daughter-in-law Scott and Marlene Royder of College Station, TX.   She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, January 9, 2023 at Callaway Jones Funeral Home in Bryan, TX from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.   Graveside services will be held at the Snook Cemetery on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 10:00 am.  Graveside services will be officiated by Joseph Polasek of Snook Brethren Church.    Pallbearers will be Joe Hinton, Trevor Royder, John Royder, Dustin Olexey, Amanda Thomas and Eric Thomas.   Honorary pallbearers will be Francis Royder, James Royder, Holden Kitchens, Kristofer Knighton, Jeff Tippett and David Brown.
